One thing we have learned over time is that 'good players' are exactly that.... but 'good friends' are a different matter.
When we started =UKLF= we aimed to form and run the best team in the UK bar none, but we've now grown to realise that this is no longer our aim.
Our aim these days is to play to the best of our abilities and have fun while we do so. As part of our fun we play with and against other teams from the gaming community that we both admire and respect, but whether we win or not, we have realised this is less important than enjoying our on-line time with the friends we have made within this squadron.
We have all played together now for quite some time (years for some of us) and have developed beyond just being a group of players who share a common love for this game in its various forms. We've now become International with the welcomed addition of European players of class and distinction.
We have also grown close and become real life friends who have a laugh and take pleasure from the time we spend together, and this we feel is FAR more important a goal than our previous ambitions.
Therefore we have no application form anywhere on this website because =UKLF= is an 'invitation only' team. This means to have any chance of joining us (should anyone ever want to that is) you need to get to know us in our various servers and if we like you enough and we think you will fit, we may just ask you to join our band of 'merry men for assessment'.
We look for mature players, although we recognise that age is but a number and is actually just a state of mind so it's 'maturity' that counts for us over actual age. Skill is good, but more important to us is a sense of humour (something we got close to losing at one point) and the ability to play well with respect and dignity to others.
In =UKLF= although we know that...
